Overview of positionHart’s mission is to protect our clients’ personnel, assets and reputation – enabling them to focus on core business in a secure environment across land, sea and air.  Hart is seeking a Project Manager (PM) with operational manager experience for a critical security role located in hostile environments. The PM role will have overall responsibility for security operations on the designated site. 
Role objectivesManage all elements of current business operations, ensure that the operations centre is effective and run efficiently.  Contribute to the process of reviewing and amending Hart’s SOPs in conjunction with the CM.  Provide management oversight of HSE, PSC1/ISO18788 and Quality Assurance Plans – conduct checks and inspections on a frequent but irregular basis.  Take the lead in managing incidents that occur within your area of responsibility.  Ensure that operator skills and knowledge are maintained at a suitable level at all times through training and rotation.   Manage the workforce (operational) levels on site in accordance with the contract terms.  To work ethically, promoting fairness and equality when recruiting for positions, maintaining the company standard of best practices.  
Project reportingWork in close liaison with client’s; ensuring the agreed service level of their contract is maintained and continually improved, ensure all projects meet 100% billing.  Provide recommendation and monitor all existing contract terms including but not limited to hours, equipment and uniforms.    Uphold the Client relationship with Hart Senior Management to ensure the communication loop is open and feedback is provided in a timely efficient manner.   Promote workplace Health & Safety, ensuring that Risk and COSHH assessments are carried out and updated according to legislation, as well as having a proactive approach to the health and safety of clients and employees regarding training and awareness.  Manage the control of stock and purchasing procedures within the regional office and client sites.  Complete high level daily and weekly reports.  Conduct onsite training for all members of the guard force, this will include but not be limited to: Weapon training, first aid training, guard training as per Learning Objectives, fire awareness training and client protocol training. Manage the performance of the guard force and follow up on any disciplinary matters in accordance with company standard.    External communications priorities include, the government and client relationships, marketing, and reputational issues.  Internal communications must include; Briefings, Directives, Feedback and Grievance Procedures. 
Key competenciesMaintain standards in all posts including but not limited to access control and patrolling, communication procedures, firearm handling, compliance, and SOPs. Oversee the management of workplace Health & Safety, ensuring that Risk and COSHH assessments are carried out and updated according to legislation, as well as having a proactive approach to the health and safety of clients and employees regarding training, awareness and ensure compliance. Act as the project Expert on adherence to the standards and principles as defined in the International Code of Conduct, PSCI standards.  Ensure teams compliance with the Rules for Use of Force and the laws of armed conflict, Anti- corruption, and Bribery laws.  Ensure the smooth and effective operational running of the security guard force in accordance with the site security plan. Maintain responsibility for the delivery of all monthly training requirements and the subsequent upkeep of training records for all the security guards.  Ensure communication and understanding of required policies and delivery requirements are met. Maintain operational oversight and control of all checks and planning requirements pertaining to quality and auditing. In conjunction with Logistics ensure all equipment, weapons are clean, serviceable, maintained, and complete. 
Team managementAct as the Company Liaison between the guard workforce, the CMT and client.  To be the first point of contact for any issues in relation to the Static workforce. Keep client and CMT briefed on all security matters.  Provide clear concise report 
Further informationFormal security/business/international relations qualification Recognised workplace health and safety qualification i.e.: IOSH or equivalent desirable Close Protection Qualification/Hostile Environment Training Essential Well-developed English oral and written skills. Ability to think under pressure and guide a team Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office applications Effective time-management skills Well balanced interpersonal and client focused skills.
