These positions are located in Centralized Warehousing Section, Supply Chain Management, within United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS), duty station Mogadishu. The Property Management Assistants report to the Chief of Section, Centralized Warehousing.
Within delegated authority each Property Management Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: •Assists the Supervisor with planning of the property management operations, monitor progress through statistical analysis of database records and monthly progress reports for the Unit. • Liaises with the Self Accounting Units, Procurement Section and Movement Control Section at the mission on matter related to Inventory Control, Receiving and Inspection as well as Disposal activities of UN Property. • Responsible for the maintenance of accurate and auditable records, in both hard and electronic format, for accountability of UN Property at mission in conformance with Administrative Instructions, Department of Operational Support (DOS) guidelines and mission Property Management standard operating procedures. • Assists in the utilization and enhancement, as required, of the established business intelligence and management tools to monitor and evaluate the overall progresses of the Mission’s property management. • Monitors the Umoja Inventory Management database, ensuring anomalies are identified in Discrepancy Reports and addressed immediately. • Prepares accurate and auditable statistical reports for management in missions and DOS and drafts correspondence, as required. • Assists the Chief of the Unit in compilation and drafting the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and flow charts relating to all aspects of Property Management activities within the context of the overall mandate of the Unit. • Assists in the preparation and dissemination of Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) quarterly supply chain management performance reports and other business performance materials. • Assists with root cause analysis of issues/problems related to supply change performance management including property management issues. • Assists with the development of visualization tools in the corporate business analytics workspace, compile data, and build dashboards for management reporting and analysis. •Assists with the analysis of end-to-end supply chain management data, develop and run business intelligence reports through the Business Objects and other business intelligence tools. • Assist in developing and implementing business intelligence reports for supply chain transactional data quality assurance. Identifies and analyzes sources of data. Utilize Umoja ECC, Umoja Business Intelligence and other SAP reporting tools to execute the analysis. • Performs other duties as required.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of property management, inventory control, logistics management, supply chain management or related field is required. Experience in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) i.e. SAP ECC etc in inventory or warehousing management and logistics execution is desirable Experience providing services to or in a field operation of the United Nations Common System or a comparable international organization is desirable.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required.

• This position is temporarily available until 30 June 2025 with possibility of extension (subject to availability for post).
